Process

What happens after you send a glove in

The process is simple: send the request, I review the glove, we confirm the work, then the glove is cleaned, conditioned, relaced, or repaired based on what it actually needs.

Step by step

From request to return

Every glove is a little different. Photos help me see the lace, leather, pocket, and structure before we decide what makes sense.

  1. 01

    Send the request

Tell me what is going on with the glove and upload photos if you have them. Include the service you are considering and any lace color preferences.

  2. 02

    I review the glove

I look at the lace, leather condition, pocket, web, and overall structure, then send the recommended work and price before anything starts.

  3. 03

    Local drop-off or mail-in

Local customers coordinate drop-off near Surf City. Shipped orders receive shipping instructions after the work is approved.

  4. 04

    Work begins

Once the plan is approved, the glove is cleaned and conditioned with products from The Craftsman’s Works, then relaced, tightened, or repaired based on the agreed work. If something unexpected shows up during disassembly, I check with you first.

  5. 05

    Return or pickup

When the glove is ready, I’ll send the completion update and coordinate pickup, payment, or return shipping. Tracking is provided for shipped orders.

Getting the glove here

Local drop-off or mail-in service

Start with the service request either way. That keeps the glove details, photos, contact information, and service notes in one place.

Local drop-off

If you are near Surf City, Hampstead, Topsail, or the surrounding area, we’ll coordinate a local drop-off after I review the request.

Pickup is handled the same way once the glove is finished.

Mail-in service

If you are shipping the glove, wait for the review and approval first. I’ll send shipping instructions so the glove is tied to the right request.

Return shipping and tracking are handled when the work is complete.

Glove review

What I look for

The goal is to understand what will help the glove feel solid and usable again without doing work it does not need.

Lace condition

Broken, dry, stretched, missing, or loose lace that affects structure or pocket shape.

Leather condition

Dirt, sweat, dryness, stiffness, or areas that need cleaning and conditioning before lace work.

Pocket and structure

How the glove closes, where it feels loose, and whether the web, fingers, or heel need attention.

Service fit

Whether the glove needs a full relace, targeted lace work, cleaning and conditioning, or a smaller repair.

Ready to start

Send the glove details when you are ready.

Photos are helpful, but they are not required. Start with what you know, and I’ll follow up with the next step.
